Mike Brenner, owner of Hotcakes Gallery, will close his gallery in July in protest of the Bronze Fonz statue going up in Downtown Milwaukee. Brenner received a lot of media attention before and after he made his decision, as well as numerous angry voice mail messages that visitors can listen to now on the Hotcakes Web site.

“I bought an adapter for my iPhone so you could all hear what a few average Wisconsinites and Fonzie lovers had to say to me,” says Brenner via his Web site.

There are five recorded messages on the site, including one that threatens Brenner will “end up like Dahmer.”
