Broadway Theatre Center hosts open house July 29

As it gets ready for the upcoming season, Broadway Theatre Center, 158 N. Broadway, invites Milwaukeeans to wander through the facility, grab a drink and get a sneak peek of the season soon to come.

The open house takes place during the Broadway Theatre Center's Summer Gallery Night and features free self-guided tours of the facility – including theatres, stages, production shops, dressing rooms, bar and salon – and free performances by resident companies.

On the self-guided tour, guests have an opportunity to learn about each resident company and to collect multiple entries for a drawing of prizes.

Listed below is the tentative schedule of events at the open house.

Skylight Bar & Bistro

6-6:45 p.m.: Ed Doemland, piano

7-7:45 p.m.: Carolyn Wehner, piano and vocal

Lower Level

5-7:45 p.m.: Present Music will present concert videos created by UWM film students featuring contemporary music artists and the Present Music ensemble.

Cabot Theatre

7-7:15 p.m.: Milwaukee Chamber Theatre : Open rehearsale of CRIMES OF THE HEART

8-9 p.m.:

Bel Canto Chorus: Summer Love Songs

Milwaukee Chamber Theatre: Preview of CRIMES OF THE HEART by Beth Henley

Renaissance Theaterworks: Preview of GORGONS by Don Nigro, Performed by Jennifer Rupp and Marcella Kearns
