On Saturday, Aug 26, Robert W. Baird and Artists Working in Education (AWE) will be hosting Carnival of AWE at South Shore Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This free, family-friendly event will feature a wide variety of engaging art-based activities from the on-site Truck Studio. There will also be an interactive art installation that gives attendees a firsthand experience of the work that AWE's Artists-In-Residents program provides to youth of the community.

To add to all of the fun will be a celebrity paintball toss from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., when local big names will have paintballs thrown at them as they stand in front of a giant canvas. Participants include State Rep. Christine Sinicki, TMJ4 reporter Katie Crowther, Milwaukee Record's Tyler Mass and OnMilwaukee's very own Molly Snyder, who will be "paintballed" at 2 p.m.

A prize raffle will be on site along with snacks and beverages/adult beverages.
