The Milwaukee Art Museum has reported great attendance news for its fiscal year, which ended Aug. 31.
More than 320,000 visitors came to the museum this year, the highest attendance number since 2005.
MAM director Dan Keegan credits exhibitions such as "Andy Warhol: The Last Decade," "Street Seen," "American Quilts" and "Raphael: The Woman with the Veil," of which MAM was one of only three museums in the country to show.
Additionally, Keegan notes increased opportunities for families to visit, as well as the popularity of the special events such as the Lakefront Festival of Arts and the monthly after-hours social art happening MAM After Dark.
The Museum anticipates yet another strong attendance year for 2010-11, with feature exhibitions devoted to European design, Frank Lloyd Wright, and the Summer of China.
