A panel of judges chose the 2011 winners for this year's Young People's Art Exhibit today at Wisconsin State Fair Park.
The Golden Guernsey Dairy Best of Show -- Junior Division was awarded to Santhosi Samudrala, 13, of Wisconsin Hills Middle School in Brookfield. Best of Show -- Senior Division went to Runa Yu, 16, of Wisconsin Lutheran High School in Milwaukee.
Wisconsin art community members Bill Houghton, store manager of Utrecht Art Supplies, Richard Voigt, artist with WisconsinArtists.org, and Michele Zjala Winter, artist and goldsmith with The Gift Itself, were the judges. They selected a total of 85 works of art, including the Division Best of Show award winners, out of 486 two- and three-dimensional art submissions.
The winning artwork will be displayed in the lobby of the Wisconsin Exposition Center during the 2011 Wisconsin State Fair, Aug. 4-14.
