Milwaukee kicked off its 414 Day Celebration on Tuesday with the unfurling of a massive 414 Flag on City Hall. The flag, designed by Fred Gillich, will remain on the landmark until next week.

To honor the 414 flag event as well as the city of Milwaukee in general for 414 Day, local filmmaker Wes Tank made this "visual love poem of Milwaukee." Musician Gina Marie Barrington and Rose of the West contributed the heartfelt song.

"Milwaukee is who I fight for. All of my life I’ve advocated for Milwaukee and have maintained that her greatest resource is her people," says Gillich. "The Milwaukee Way is to draw everyone into the circle, where our stories intersect, where we learn from each other in order to speak for ourselves. My hope is that we have the patience to listen to each other. 414 Everyone!"
