Having a hangover from hell? Food poisoning from bad sushi? Extreme unpleasantness due to a nasty stomach flu? Soon you can call H20 To Go – Milwaukee’s first and only mobile "Health Hydration Oasis" – and order an IV like you would a sub sandwich.

Dr. Alia Fox, a licensed anesthesiologist who currently practices with the Ascension network in Brookfield, is the mastermind behind this mobile medical clinic on wheels.

Fox’s mobile staff consists entirely of licensed nurses and nurse practitioners. And like similar services in Las Vegas, it's the real deal. (No "sexy nurse" costumes, etc.)

"This is extremely serious. We are the first so we are setting the standard here," says Fox.

The service is already responding to house, hotel and business calls and will welcome a new luxury vehicle in March. The state-of-the art, nine-passenger Mercedes features reclining lounge chairs and a non-hospital ambiance.

"Patients can skip the hours-long wait and cost at an emergency room and instead begin their recovery by catching up on Netflix, by reading or just relaxing," says Fox.

Fox was inspired to take her "show" on the road after her patients routinely asked for home service for the sake of convenience and comfort as well as to avoid long wait-times in hospitals.

"We’ve had people fighting the flu or cancer patients recovering from chemotherapy or pregnant mothers with morning sickness asking if we could give them an IV to get through the illness and now we can," says Fox. "We can even park right in your driveway."

All patients will be assessed by a medical professional about their condition before they are given an IV. H20 To Go offers four different cocktails: High Dose Vitamin C (flu, flu-like symptoms), Social Survivor (hangover cure), IV NAD Therapy (depression, addiction) and Chemo + Radiation.

Hydration therapy takes between 20-90 minutes and involves an intravenous infusion of vitamin-rich fluids. The cost ranges from $79 to $200 and some patients might qualify for insurance coverage.

"You don’t have to be sick to have IV therapy," says Fox. "It’s for anyone aiming to recover more quickly."
