Beginning on Sept. 18, the Wisconsin Gives Back event begins and will run through Dec. 18.  The purpose of the three month event is to raise more than a million dollars to support the organizations that make Wisconsin what it is today.

Charity groups can raise money by selling 2012 Wisconsin calendars.  The calendars feature professional aerial photography, a Wisconsin road map, a tourism directory and 366 fun things to do throughout the state. People who visit www.wi-givesback.com between September 18 and December 18 can purchase a calendar in support of the Wisconsin group of their choice.  $9 of every $15 sale will be given to the customer's chosen group.

Interested groups can sign-up online at www.wi-givesback.com and join the many organizations already involved.  Organizations that have already signed up include: The Leroy Butler Foundation, The Greg Jennings Foundation, The Nick Collins Jump Start 4 Kids Foundation, The Tramon Williams Foundation, The Parenting Network, Orphan Animal Rescue, Meta House, Schlitz Audubon Nature Center, Make A Difference Wisconsin, and Green Bay Southwest High School. Group registration will close on September 10. There is no cost for any group to register or participate.
