{image1}Although Milwaukee was one of 60 cities examined as a possible location for The Beer Hall of Fame, the facility will open instead in Cincinnati.

The opening date has not been announced, but "Tower Place" in the Fountain Square District of Cincinnati is the target location for the complex.

"This has been a very exciting competition," said Randall Herbst who is the head of the business development team. "This energy and conviction to the project will do well to enhance Cincinnati's long-standing beer heritage."

The Beer Hall of Fame entertainment complex will house beer-themed international restaurants, a micro brewery, on-site brewing opportunities and classes, a collection of beer memorabilia, Beer Radio and Beer Television broadcasting studios, music and entertainment venues, a beer education and responsibility center, a world record selection of beer and a Beer Hall of Fame Induction Center.

"As permanent Host City to the Beer Hall of Fame, Cincinnati will become the ultimate travel and tourism destination for 90 million beer drinkers in the USA and upwards of 500 million more from around the world, many of which travel to Cincinnati for business and pleasure currently," says Beer Hall of Fame Project Manager, Joe Gardenghi.

In 2003, 90 million consumers in America spent over $75 billion on beer. Wonder how many were from Milwaukee?
