Netflix recently announced its latest batch of comings and goings for the month of March, and while there's no sight of Prince Fielder's new food show *single tear falls down cheek* there's plenty of other tasty morsels for movie fans and binge-watchers to dig into.

It only seems fitting, for instance, that an announcement coming just before Oscar weekend would arrive with some Oscar winners and nominees in tow, including "Chicago" – the last musical to win Best Picture – "Million Dollar Baby," "Midnight in Paris" and current Best Documentary nominee "Fire at Sea."

That's not even including the streaming service's new flock of beloved classics that probably should've won major Oscars but didn't, including one of the best comedies of all time ("Blazing Saddles"), one of the best blockbusters of all time ("Jurassic Park"), one of the best musical comedies of all time ("This Is Spinal Tap") and one of the best independent movies made this side of the millennium ("Memento").

And also "Must Love Dogs." For some reason, I think it's very important that you know "Must Love Dogs" will be available next month.

Toss in a brand new Disney delight ("Pete's Dragon"), the latest work from newcomer Steven Spielberg ("The BFG") and the usual assortment of intriguing Netflix Originals – namely Marvel's latest TV series "Iron First" and the eerie Robert Redford-Jason Segel afterlife drama "The Discovery" – and you've got yourself a solid haul of new streamable treats coming next month for when you're not watching March Madness.

That being said, the Netflix gods giveth Spielberg movies, and the Netflix gods also taketh them away – so say goodbye to "Jaws" on the first of the month. Not forever, though; cinematic life always finds a way.

Matt Mueller Culture Editor

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
