May might mark the official beginning of summer movie season, but on Netflix next month, it's TV that's reigning supreme.

Almost all of the streaming service's blockbuster television shows are dropping new seasons next month, from "House of Cards" to "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" and "Master of None." That's not even including its returning cult hits, like "Sense8," and new hopeful breakouts, including "The Keepers," Netflix's own attempt to replicate the "Making a Murderer" true crime craze. And even if you're not a fan of Netflix originals, the service has got the latest seasons of "Supergirl," "The Flash" and "Riverdale" all headed down the pipe.

The movies arriving in May, however, are no slouch either. Is your favorite genre of film Oddly Accented Brad Pitt In War Time? Well, you are in luck because you're getting a double dose with "Inglourious Basterds" and the Netflix original "War Machine." As for every other actual genre, the streaming service has something to satisfy next month – from new blockbusters ("Doctor Strange") to old classics ("Forrest Gump") and indie gems ("Don't Think Twice").

As a bonus, there's not a whole lot leaving Netflix in May – though we do hope you got around to watching "Jurassic Park" these pasts two months, because it's already going extinct come the first.

Otherwise, here's the rest of what's coming and going from Netflix next month.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
