While it's yet to be announced who will play the BMO Harris Pavilion during Summerfest this year, the venue has got big talent planned before and after the Big Gig this year. Last month, the lakefront stage announced Big Sean would return to Milwaukee for a show on May 29; today, the Pavilion revealed that R&B star Leon Bridges will close out the summer and welcome the fall with a Milwaukee stop on his "Good Thing Tour" on Sept. 23. 

Bridges began getting notice for his gospel-inspired, throwback R&B musical style and multi-faceted live shows with his debut album, "Coming Home," in 2015. The record would go on to be nominated for Best R&B Album at the Grammys the following year, losing out to D'Angelo and The Vanguard's "Black Messiah."

However, his star's only risen since that nomination, performing for The White House, The Library of Congress, The Museum of Modern Art and more while also nabbing a place on the soundtrack for HBO's "Big Little Lies" with his hit song "River." He'll release his much-anticipated sophomore album, "Good Thing," on May 4. 

The soulful singer last stopped in Milwaukee in 2016 for a show at the Riverside.
