Hot off Grammy wins, country star Chris Stapleton and rock soul band Alabama Shakes will join forces for a co-headliner show at Summerfest on Saturday, July 2. 

Stapleton is one of the darlings of the country world right now thanks to his solo debt album "Traveller," a old school yet modern mix of country, blues, soul, R&B and rock that's won critical raves and several awards – including three County Music Awards (for Male Vocalist of the Year, New Artist of the Year and Album of the Year) and two Grammys (for Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Album). 

The soulful rockers Alabama Shakes are just as much of a critical and awards show darling – especially coming off of the band's wildly successful new sophomore album "Sound and Color," which earned a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year alongside three wins (Best Alternative Music Album, as well as Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance for "Don't Wanna Fight"). 

Between the two performers, expect a night of genre-bending music that sounds both old and new at the same time. 

Tickets for the joint Chris Stapleton/Alabama Shakes show go on sale beginning on Friday, April 1 at noon. As always, tickets include general Summerfest admission. Tickets can be purchased at the Summerfest box office, Ticketmaster ticket centers and Walmart stores, as well as online at Ticketmaster.com and over the phone either through the Summerfest box office (1-414-273-2600), through a live Ticketmaster agent (1-800-745-3000) or through Ticketmaster's automated ticket line (1-866-448-7849). 

There will also be a Summerfest Stay Connected presale for those who receive Summerfest email news alerts or follow the Big Gig on Facebook or Twitter. The presale will run from 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 31 through 10 p.m. or until the presale inventory has run out.
