It's a new annual pop music tradition. Every year, mashup artist DJ Earworm (aka Jordan Roseman) niftily mixes together a ton of the biggest hits from the past 365 days into one star-studded, and suitably earwormy, mega-song.

He's been doing it since 2007, and he's now posted his 2015 edition, "50 Shades of Pop," on Billboard. Take a listen:

If you think the track – as the title hints, a combination of the year's 50 biggest pop hits – sounds a little more subdued than usual, according to DJ Earworm, that's not an accident.

"I try to get a feel of what is in the zeitgeist," DJ Earworm told Billboard. "Music has been going through a softer phase than it was a few years ago so there's that return of adult contemporary. That's maybe represented by the Ellie Goulding track, it's very lush and soft. And then there's sort of retro, uptempo dance stuff, and that's represented by The Weeknd track."

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
