It's been about half a year since Stephen Colbert took over the reins of CBS' "The Late Show," and while he hasn't been able to bump Fallon off the late night ratings top shelf, he's generally done a pretty good job. Still, if the whole late night TV host thing doesn't work out, last night he proved he's got another gig to fall back on: Violent Femmes lead singer.

The Milwaukee-born alt rock band took the stage on last night's "Late Show" to promote its upcoming album "We Can Do Anything" – its first new full-length album in 15 years – and play a song or two from it. The highlight, however, was when the band busted out their most famous hit, "Blister In The Sun" – complete with a guest verse from Colbert himself. And he did really well!

Watch yourself, Gordon.

The Femmes also performed the Colbert-free "Memory" off the new album.

"We Can Do Anything" comes out on March 4.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
