Back in December, I wrote a blog post called "Bold and not-so-bold predictions for 2012."

Almost halfway through the year, I see now that one has come true, two have not, and two are yet to be decided (but I still stand by my predictions).

Here's an update:

Ryan Braun won't serve a 50-game suspension: RIGHT. I got this one almost exactly right, except that none of us know really what happened – although I almost coaxed it out of someone close to the situation.

Scott Walker will survive the recall election: UNDETERMINED. I was right that there will be an election, but we won't know for a few weeks if Walker will still be governor after June 5. I think he'll just very narrowly squeak by, unless the Democrats really get out the vote. We'll see.

The Packers will win the Super Bowl: WRONG. I was very wrong on this one, and I'm still surprised that this 15-1 team got knocked out so early. I can't completely explain it, and I'd rather just forget about it and move on.

The Rock 'N Sole half marathon/10K will go off without a hitch: UNDETERMINED. But it's a good bet that with a new race organizer, this will be a wonderful, water-filled event.

Prince Fielder will sign somewhere for much less than originally expected: WRONG. As winter chugged along, I thought I was on to something, then, bam, the Tigers came along and emptied their coffers on him. While his departure only hurts Brewers fans, at least I can take solace that (for) now, the big guy has hit only five homers. We'll see if he was worth that $214 million 10 years from now.
