Local businesses are all finding ways to ride the Super Bowl wave, and local coffee roaster Stone Creek Coffee is no different.

I saw its new Green and Gold blend today, so I reached out to president and "CSSO" (chief sip slowly officer) Eric Resch for some background on the new brew.

"The idea for the blend came from some of our Shorewood baristas who are die hard Packers fans," said Resch. "We felt it was appropriate to use our Milwaukee Blend for the coffee given its hometown roots. The Green and Gold Blend is a blend of Brazil, Ethiopian and French Roast."

Green and Gold Blend is available at all Stone Creek stores, online and and to the company's wholesale customers.

Resch said the limited edition blend will be available through Sunday Feb. 13, one week after the Super Bowl if the Packers win. "If we lose, the blend will end Super Bowl Sunday and we will all cry in our morning cup, " said Resch.
