Welcoming the fall season means getting ready for festive activities that many have been looking forward to all summer. No, we are not talking about raking leaves. We are talking about apple picking!

Barthel Fruit Farm is one of the best places to find fresh apples and all your tasty fall treats. I sat down with Nino, the sales and personnel manager, to talk about what makes their farm unique.

In the fall, Barthel Fruit Farm offers apples, pears, plums and pumpkins. Then, in the spring, they grow strawberries and sugar snap peas. They also have a plant business in which they grow herbs, perennials, annuals, succulents, small trees and shrubs.

Right now, apple picking is one of the main attractions at the farm. There are many different types of apples to choose from and enjoy. Many love the Honeycrisp for the sweet flavor, and the 20-ounce Pippin or the Cortland for baking.

You can also find caramel apples, pumpkins, gourds, squash, popcorn and more in their barn. Be sure to check it out before the apples are sold out!
