Chicken wings are good. Mountain Dew is good. The idea of literally mixing the two together, however? Um, less good ... unless you're Buffalo Wild Wings, apparently.

Today, the popular sports bar and eatery chain introduced – to a mix of public horror and amusement – its Zesty Citrus sauce, a blend of lemongrass, red pepper flakes and, yes, Mountain Dew.

The sauce – created in honor of the Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl, one of the absurd 41 college football bowl games to be played over the next few weeks – will be available for those with a deep hatred of their own taste buds in Buffalo Wild Wings locations from Dec. 14 through Jan. 2.

Perhaps the combination of tart, caffeinated soda water, spices and chicken will taste better than it sounds. After all, when added right, soda can help make a very good marinade. I guess we'll find out next week whether that'll be the case here or if this is some sort of Guy Fieri-esque bar-food nightmare.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
