Robert David Rubner, the co-owner of McBob’s Pub & Grill, 4919 W. North Ave., passed away on Thursday after battling a long illness. He was 58.

Rubner owned McBob’s along with his wife, Christine McRoberts, and Brian Hunter.

He is survived by his wife, his son, Nicholas Rubner, and many family members and friends.

"McBob's will continue on as it is," says McRoberts."We will continue to produce all the corned beef that our wonderful customers can consume. We plan on making McBob's the best tribute to Robert that we can."
