HartFest Fully Loaded

The heart of Downtown Wauwatosa is home to the town's annual music fest, conveniently located at the Rotary Performance Pavilion in Hart Park and appropriately dubbed HartFest. The music spectacular began yesterday and continues late into Saturday night until the last guitar string decrescendos, the final drum roll concludes and the vocals silence.

Last night's HartFest grew as the night went on; the anticipation and momentum began to build as the bands rocked and the crowds came in. With booths ranging from the standard complements like games and prizes to Miller and football-sized pretzels, HartFest put on quite a show both on stage and beyond it. Not to mention, the profits from HartFest are turned over to a variety of local charities.

The location is ideal and the music is some of the finest in the state, as many of last night's bands archived back to the early Johnny Cash era then kept it fresh with tunes of their own as well. Friends and family ranging all ages were there dancing, hula-hooping, playing baggos, games and just taking in the long awaited fine weather we've been banking on for weeks now. Those who made it out to Hartfest were treated with perfect June weather and hours of a variety of great music in their own backyard.
