Rembrandt, Van Dyck, Gainsborough: The Treasures of Kenwood House, London

Oct. 24, 2012 - Jan. 13, 2013

Most of these paintings have never traveled to the United States before, and many of them have rarely been seen outside London’s Kenwood House. Among the works on view will be Rembrandt's "Portrait of the Artist," Anthony van Dyck’s "Princess Henrietta of Lorraine Attended by a Page," Thomas Gainsborough’s "Mary, Countess Howe," Frans Hals’s "Pieter van den Broecke," and Joshua Reynolds’s "Lady Louisa Manners."

Free family art fun is on tap at MAM's Art Generation Studio

Published Nov. 28, 2012

We really had a great time and doing projects in the Art Generation studio is a treat for parents. All the supplies are at hand and we don't have to worry about making a mess of the dining room table. And it's all free (though you have to pay to get into the museum, of course). This Sunday, Dec. 2, from 1o until 4, the Art Museum will team with Kohl's for Kohl's Art Generation Family Sundays: "Home for the Holidays."
