April 20, 2013 7:00 p.m. at Northern Lights Theater
The one-person show stars Milwaukee native and nationally-touring comedian Dobie Maxwell and centers on the distinct culture and modern history of Milwaukee – known nationally as the home of "Happy Days: and "Laverne and Shirley." But for those who hail from “Brew Town,” and know its inner workings, the city is so much more – from its strong German and Polish roots and blue-collar mentality, to long-standing institutions like the Friday night fish fry and bowling leagues. Maxwell will recount the memories of his Milwaukee childhood in two nightly shows at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m., each Saturday in April. Tickets are available for $20 or free with a Fire Keeper’s Club card at the Northern Lights Theater Box Office.
