Anyone who knows John Dye or has been to his bar, Bryant's Cocktail Lounge, knows that he is a vintage lounge visionary who works vigilantly until he gets it right. Such is the case with his second project, The Jazz Estate, 2423 N. Murray Ave., which re-opens to the public on Thursday, Nov. 3. OnMilwaukee got a sneak peek today.

First Look: Lucky Chance bar and grill

Lucky Chance quietly opened at the end of April at 6139 W. Beloit Rd., in West Allis, but there's nothing quiet about this bar now that it's open. The space was completely remodeled and is now a "musicians' bar" with live music and a musicians' club.

Last week, we spontaneously stopped in The Metal Grill in Cudahy and were pleased the experience epitomized both the words "metal" and "grill," thanks to incredibly tasty burgers and raucous head-banging on the stage.
