Here's to the next five years of Obamacare

This week in 2010, five years ago, President Obama signed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act into law. It has not led to a revolution - yet - but if you asked your average conservative which was worse, the oppressive taxation without representation of King George or giving 16 million Americans access to affordable health insurance, they would say Obamacare every time, I'm sure. I do not understand this.


Local author publishes memoir about mother's Alzheimer's

Judith Harway is a professor of writing at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. Harway recently wrote a memoir called "Sundown: A Daughter's Memoir of Alzheimer's Care" that documents her personal experience with her mother's struggle with Alzheimer's. Harway will discuss and sign copies of her book on Tuesday, Jan. 13 at Boswell Book Company.

I am one of those people who are interested in health care issues and all the arguments about what kind of health care we should have in this country. Farmer/Physicians Blue This and Green That. Let's even forget Obamacare, although I kind of like that one. I vote for AnnieCare.


'WalkerCare' draws mixed reviews
