My go-to Milwaukee wings joints

In the same spirit as my post earlier this year listing my favorite Milwaukee pizzas, here are my go-to wings places in town, so far. I'm sure as I continue my (informal) quest, I'll find others. And, this month, we're off in search of the best wings on the West Side, so stay tuned for that. In the meantime, in no particular order...

Kat Linscott is new to bartending, but she knows what she likes. The 21-year-old former daycare worker is now babysitting bigger kids, so to speak, but she picked Leff's Lucky Town because it was close to home - and the kind of place she, herself, likes to visit.


Tweeting up Tosa

I've been to the aviary at the zoo many times, but I've never been to an "official" tweet-up before. That may be about to change. Tomorrow evening - that's Wednesday, May 18- Leff's Lucky Town, 7208 W. State St., is hosting the Wauwatosa Chamber of Commerce's Explore Tosa tweet-up from 5 until 8 p.m.

We've rolled into the final year of smoky bars and cigarettes over beers. At least indoors that is. The impending city wide and statewide smoking ban goes into effect July 5, 2010 and so with less than a year left, Milwaukeeans have a limited time to embrace and enjoy their tobacco filled evenings.
