Cafe Brucke, 2101 N. Prospect Ave., will soon be known as Allium. Jennifer Pierce-Haig, who has owned Brucke since 2010 with her husband Stephen Haig Marks, wrote on Facebook last night that the process of conversion is underway.

I went out to dinner with one of my favorite couples last Friday and concluded it was time to branch out a little. I've lived on the East Side the majority of the time I've been in Milwaukee and yet, I've never been to Cempazuchi, 1205 E. Brady Street. I KNOW!

For now, not having an official smoking law in place gives establishment owners in Milwaukee the choice of allowing the ash-tray fillers or not.
