While Corey Hart isn't truly the last piece that remains of the most successful stretch of Brewers baseball since the early 1980s, his departure does feel like it marks the end of one era of homegrown talent that from 2005 through 2013 went 739-719 with one division championship, two playoff appearances and one trip to the National League Championship.

The bad baseball played by the Brewers in the late 1990s and early 2000s enabled the team to acquire a core of players which brought hope, optimism and the playoffs back to Milwaukee. That era is over.

With the current state of the Milwaukee Brewers, who now resemble their Triple A Nashville Sounds team more than a collection of Major Leaguers, I thought it might be entertaining and amusing to dial up some Brew Crew players from yesteryear who could certainly help the team if they were still, indeed, in the organization.
