Cooler temps revive passion for red wine

Maybe it's just me, but I lean more toward beer in summer and wine as the weather cools. Because I tend to choose reds over whites, I like the warming feeling of holding a glass of red wine and of the wine as I swallow it. Here are a few wines I've tasted lately.

My wine pick this week is a big, bold pinot noir which we enjoyed on one of the chillier days last week. I'm ready for fall reds, which is when I usually pour myself pinot noirs and shirazes and the occasional malbec. Pinot noir to me screams bold comfort, and the 2007 Cartlidge & Browne Pinot Noir is no exception.
