Marvel's "Ant-Man" scores big by going small

The hardest part of watching Marvel's "Ant-Man" is thinking about the "Ant-Man" movie you're not watching. Once you finally make peace with that fact, however, the film we ended up actually getting is actually still pretty good in its own right, delivering a fun and brisk-minded micro-sized jaunt into the Marvel Cinematic Universe without the burden of the MCU - or its own tortured production history - weighing on its tiny pest-sized shoulders.


"Last Vegas": a comedy full of geezers and groaners

How many tired old people jokes - and you know what; just tired jokes in general - can be wedged into a script before the audience attempts to drown themselves in butter flavoring? This is the difficult question proposed by the new oh-those-goofy-geezers comedy "Last Vegas" - or as I've been calling it with all-too-smug satisfaction, "The Hangolder."

“You, Me and Dupree” is a romantic comedy with some Farrelly Brothers trimmings that doesn’t stretch those “hows” nearly far enough. The film shows us its entire hand within the first 10 minutes.
