North Point Lighthouse is receiving a facelift with its first complete house and tower painting since it was restored over 10 years ago. The $23,500 project includes cleaning, repairing and replacing wood and materials where needed, and painting the keeper's quarters museum and the lighthouse tower.

On Sunday, June 12, from noon to 2 p.m., award-winning children's book illustrator Renee Graef will be at the North Point Lighthouse Museum at 2650 N. Wahl Ave., for a book signing of her latest book titled "B is for Beacon: A Great Lakes Lighthouse Alphabet."
