The Village Pub, 4488 N. Oakland Ave., remained closed this week as the bar looked to renew its liquor license with the Village of Shorewood. A Twitter update says the bar will reopen soon.

This November, a new pub, Irish Genie, will open in the space previously occupied by Judge's Irish Pub at 1431 E. North Ave. Judge's closed in March.

Eventhough I live in Grafton (a suburb 20 miles North of Milwaukee) and haven't been to many Milwaukee area bars or pubs (aside from Scooter's and Brother's on Water Street) I'd be willing to bet that the best Brew Pub in the greater Milwaukee Area is Silver Creek Brew Pub in Cedarburg, Wi. ...
