Last week, The Riverwest Public House was granted a liquor license and announced they will quietly open in early March with a grand opening set for the first week of April. The Riverwest Public House will be the second cooperative tavern in the country.

In January, Riverwest will welcome another co-op, this time in the form of a tavern called the Riverwest Public House. The establishment will be located at 815 E. Locust St., in the building that most recently housed Saylece's bar. A fundraiser will take place Tuesday, Nov. 23 at Art Bar.

Sarah and River Ditzenberger wanted to bring a shopping option other than Wal-Mart to the Riverwest neighborhood, so they cooked up a fun-yet-practical variety store called "Fischberger's."
