Normally, when we talk about phones, we talk about things like size, camera and battery life. It's not often that a phone's accessories take center stage. The Moto Z Droid is a solid phone under the usual review rules, but it's real charm is in the extras.

AT&T and Motorola unveiled the Atrix 4G earlier this year as one of the first smartphones to move into the all-in-one genre. The optional laptop and desktop/entertainment docks make the Atrix an enticing investment. The phone is top-notch but the add-ons need some work before the concept really works.

Do people still have a basket with newspapers and magazines next to their toilets? You know, for light reading when things just aren't coming out right? I'll admit it. My smartphone and iPad go everywhere with me - but mostly my phone.
