The Waxwing, an art gallery and artists' boutique, will move from its Shorewood location to new East Side digs, 1800 E. North Ave. The space - which is four times larger than the current location - is on the corner of North and Oakland Avenues - exactly where Pizza Man was before it was consumed by a fire.

In 2012, Steph Davies opened The Waxwing, a local art and handmade gifts boutique at 4415 N. Oakland Ave. in Shorewood. Recently Davies learned that her landlord Nat Davauer was not going to renew her lease because he plans to use the space to expand his business Draft and Vessel which is located next door.

It has been almost two years since Steph Davies opened The Waxwing, 4415 N. Oakland Ave. Since opening the shop, Davies has learned a lot about art, running a business and parenting.
