The Packers play the Bears on Sunday, and forecasts call for a high temperature of minus-1 degree with winds of 10-20 mph on Chicago's Soldier Field, which has notoriously bad turf. Kicker Mason Crosby, the player who could be most affected by such conditions, said he embraces the challenge.

Milwaukee firefighters have been raising money throughout the year to support the "Warm Up Winter" campaign. Thanks to the generosity of supporters, they will deliver 7,000 new winter coats to students at 12 Milwaukee schools this year.

On the first of the year, I went home to Door County, where I was once a local. You never know how visiting is going to go come winter, but if you know what to do, Door County is still pretty special come the dead of winter.
