The OnMilwaukee.com perpetual beta rolls on this fall, and today we're taking the wraps off our new Living section.

What will you find in the Living section? You'll read stories and blogs about fashion, fitness, technology, TV and more. In short, content about what it's like to live in Milwaukee.

Specifically, it's not a huge departure from what we're already writing -- it's just better categorized. In the past, we've struggled to find appropriate homes for some of our content: a piece on fall fashion didn't exactly fit in Milwaukee Buzz or Marketplace. A blog on "Entourage" would be put into Arts and Entertainment -- but even we know that Sunday night cable TV isn't exactly high art.

The Living section also gives us the opportunity to broaden our content, both vertically and horizontally. If we want to write about healthcare or interesting topics that aren't specifically Milwaukee-centric, we can. After all, a review of an iPhone isn't about Milwaukee, but Milwaukeeans use iPhones.

Finally, the Living section will be available for Readers Blogs, so you, too, can help us evolve and grow this new section of OnMilwaukee.com. We know that you, like us, are proud to live in Milwaukee. Together, lets explain why to the million monthly readers of OnMilwaukee.com.

Andy is the president, publisher and founder of OnMilwaukee. He returned to Milwaukee in 1996 after living on the East Coast for nine years, where he wrote for The Dallas Morning News Washington Bureau and worked in the White House Office of Communications. He was also Associate Editor of The GW Hatchet, his college newspaper at The George Washington University.

Before launching OnMilwaukee.com in 1998 at age 23, he worked in public relations for two Milwaukee firms, most of the time daydreaming about starting his own publication.

Hobbies include running when he finds the time, fixing the rust on his '75 MGB, mowing the lawn at his cottage in the Northwoods, and making an annual pilgrimage to Phoenix for Brewers Spring Training.
