The World's Largest Music Festival may be well over, but Milwaukee summer festival season is nowhere near finished. In fact, we're not even done adding to it – as today Fiserv Forum announced the first Chords & Curds Festival hosted in the plaza on Saturday, Aug. 24.

As the name suggests, the Chords & Curds Festival will bring together local musicians of all genres – from gospel to funk, blues to rock – and local food trucks of all appetites for an all-day celebration, beginning at noon. And best of all, proceeds from the new event will benefit the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music.

"We are excited for the community to partake in this unique opportunity to celebrate Milwaukee’s talented musicians and to further the admirable mission of the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music," said Peter Feigin, president of Fiserv Forum and the Bucks, in a press release.

Performing acts and the menu of food trucks for the Chords & Curds Festival will be announced at a later date, but tickets are already on sale now at Ticketmaster.com as well as the Fiserv Forum ticket office. Admission is $10 for adults, as well as $5 for both children under 12 and attendees over 65 – with VIP options starting at $75.

Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for more updates on the Chords & Curds Festival, as well as the rest of summer festival season.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
