Occasionally, I like to test my limits. Push myself way beyond my comfort zone. Say "yes I can" to something I might otherwise think I can’t. So, in the spirit of personal perseverance – and perhaps a dash of insanity – I am going to ride the Skyglider (officially called the Summerfest Skyglider Powered by Taiwan Excellence) on Friday, June 29, for 12 hours – from open to close, noon to midnight.

And yes, I plan to take bathroom breaks.

To make my journey more meaningful – and to distract me from the fact that I am riding the skyglider for 12 hours – I invited 20 interesting Milwaukeeans (we'll share a list of them soon!) to "take a lap" with me throughout the day / night. I will kick it off with our Mayor of Milwaukee, Tom Barrett.

While gliding the big ol' Milwaukee sky, I will interview these people, photograph them, maybe Facebook Live with them and then compile it all into one story about my 12-hour experience that will run on OnMilwaukee next week.

At this point, the weather looks hot but dry. So, sweaty but doable. I got this.
