The Dirty Girl Mud Run is challenging Wisconsin women of all fitness levels to get out and get active in an unclean fun, out of the ordinary athletic event.

Dirty Girl debuted in Wisconsin in 2011 to a sold-out field of over 6,000 women and is back for its second anniversary on Aug. 18-19. With obstacle names like H2 Oh My God, Utopian Tubes, and "PMS" (Pretty Muddy Stuff), the Dirty Girl Mud Run is the newest way for women bond all the while helping support the National Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation.

The 5K begins bright and early with the first wave of contestants running through the iconic 20-foot high starting arch. In between, women will traverse obstacles specifically designed to get their hearts pumping and guaranteed to deliver a sense of euphoria and accomplishment. The course ends with a sloshing crawl through a huge mud pit; energizing Dirty Girls with the laughter and cheering of teammates and supporters.

Run, walk, climb or crawl - the event is coming to the Waukesha County Expo Center on Saturday, Aug. 18 and Sunday, Aug. 19.
