UPDATED: 8:41 p.m. -- Marquette's bad night got worse Wednesday night.

Senior guard Dominic James left the game in the first few minutes with a broken fifth metatarsal in his left foot and will miss the rest of the season.

"His career at Marquette is over," a somber coach Buzz Williams said after the Golden Eagles fell, 93-82, to Connecticut at the Bradley Center.

James was third on the team with 11.7 points per game and was among the Big East leaders with 5.3 assists and 2.3 assists per game.

OnMilwaukee.com will have a full game recap and more information on James' injury later this evening.
