Take a Manitowoc moment of silence for Aaron Rodgers - plus a few laughs - with the Manitowoc Minute.

Mourn the loss of Aaron Rodgers with the Manitowoc Minute

It's been 48 hours since Anthony Barr of the Minnesota Vikings broke Aaron Rodgers' collarbone, along with the collective spirit of the Green Bay fan base; but we'd be lying if we didn't say we're still in a somber mood about the whole travesty. And what better way to help mourning Packer Backers "keep 'er movin'" than a dose of the Manitowoc Minute?

Created by comedian and Elm Grove native Charlie Berens, the Manitowoc Minute is a weekly YouTube rundown of the latest news stories – serious, silly and exceptionally Sconnie – as told through the heavily Yooper-fied lens of a camo jacket-wearing amateur news goof, cracking wise about dos der guys.

The series has become a viral hit, earning Berens thousands of hits a week, the honor of helping "Roll Out The Barrel" at the Packers-Bears tilt at Lambeau Field on Oct. 5 and a live comedy tour around the state – including two upcoming shows at Turner Hall Ballroom on Nov. 29-30.

This week, however, brought Berens the unenviable task of finding humor in the injury of our beloved quarterback. And I'd say he pulled it off, mostly by taking this dark day in Packers' fandom and using it as a chance to make fun of the Vikings (but what of the world's most annoying horn?!). Because what isn't a chance to make fun of the Vikings?

Other headlines to aid your post-Rodgers recovery include noted historian and sociologist Mike Ditka chiming in on race relations in America (that joke kind of writes itself), Russians using Pokemon Go in the past election and a Fond du Lac exotic dancer leaving her pot brownies at a Walgreens ATM (as one does). All very funny and all very Yooper.

Unfortunately, both of Berens' upcoming Turner Hall gigs are currently sold out; but thankfully new episodes of the Manitowoc Minute are loaded up every Monday on YouTube. They'll be something to help make you smile on Mondays – because I have a feeling the rest of the Rodgers-less Packers' season won't be much help in that department.
