In advance of the 2014-15 season, the Milwaukee Wave, now a member of the 24-team Major Arena Soccer League, will hold open tryouts Sept. 12-13 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from  2-4 p.m. at the Midwest Orthopedic Sports Complex (formerly Brookfield Indoor Soccer Complex) located at 19485 W. Lisbon Rd. in Brookfield.

"I've been in Milwaukee long enough to know that there is real talent here," first year head coach and former player Giuliano Oliviero said in a statement. "We'd like to tap into that talent pool and bring in local players to complement the core of players already signed. This will be a great opportunity for up-and-coming Wisconsin soccer players, and others from around the Midwest, to showcase their abilities, and I look forward to seeing these players at the tryout."

The cost of the tryout is $75, payable with cash or cashiers check. A liability waiver must also be signed.

Players will be tested on agility, conditioning and overall soccer ability. Successful participants will be invited to attend Wave training camp in October.

Players should bring appropriate workout gear and shoes and/or cleats. Attendants will be required to wear protective equipment and will not be allowed on the field without any.
