The University of Wisconsin football team faces Tennessee in the Outback Bowl Jan. 1 in Tampa. Kickoff is 10 a.m. (CST) at Raymond James Stadium.

The Volunteers won the SEC East Division, lost to Louisiana State in the conference championship game and finished with a 9-4 overall record.

The Badgers finished with a 9-3 record. The only previous meeting between the teams came in the 1981 Garden State Bowl, where Tennessee beat Wisconsin, 28-21.

The Badgers have been to the Outback Bowl three times, most recently in 2005, when they lost to Georgia, 24-21. Tennessee played in the 2007 Outback Bowl, losing to Penn State, 20-10.
