Last time the Avett Brothers came to Milwaukee, their sold out show had to be moved from Turner Hall to the Riverside Theater where it promptly sold out again.

Knowing their history in Milwaukee, the Avett Brothers set two dates at the Riverside Theater. The Avett Brothers return to Milwaukee on Friday, Nov. 18 and Saturday, Nov. 19.  Doors for both shows will open at 7 p.m.

The Avett Brothers were signed by legendary producer Rick Rubin in 2008, in part, for the intensity of the emotional honesty their music presents.

"As soon as I heard the depth in their singing and songwriting, I was in for the ride," says Rubin, who has worked with some of the most talented mavericks in the business, including Johnny Cash, Tom Petty and The Dixie Chicks.

"The Avetts’ songs have such a sincere emotional resonance. The purity of the messages stops you in your tracks. It’s unusual to hear such open-hearted personal sentiment from young artists today."

Live shows have always been the hallmark of the Avett Brothers.  Their energetic performances have sold out theaters in Cary, North Carolina; the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, Oregon and back-to-back sellouts of Fillmore East in New York.

Tickets for both Avett Brothers concerts at the Riverside Theater go on sale on Friday, July 29 at The Pabst and Riverside Theater box offices, are $35, and are general admission.
