Not only did The Hotel Foster win best new bar, the upscale tavern also nabbed best decor. Whether looking for a classy or casual evening of cocktailing or beer drinking, OnMilwaukee readers appreciate The Hotel Foster's attractive, comfortable environment.

The Hotel Foster is located inside the building that once housed Live on North, Lava Bar and Grill, The Globe and The Boardwalk, but the latest reinvention of the space is the most stunning to date. The pre-Prohibition decor was hand-picked by the owners and features antique furniture, chandeliers and stained glass.

The OnMilwaukee.com editors like Foster's aesthetics, too, but picked Rusty's Old 50 because of the impressive collection of antiques, including a real 1952 Ford truck, a massive clock from Macy's and vintage beer signage.
