ASHWAUBENON -- The Milwaukee Bucks announced the hiring of Peter Feigin as the team’s new president, bringing the 44-year-old in from his position as the chief marketing and revenue officer of Deluxe Entertainment Services Group.

He has been around the team informally however, as new team co-owners Wes Edens and Marc Lasry brought Feigin in as a senior advisor to help them "reorganize and refocus its business operations," per a release from the team.

"I’ve known Peter for many years and can’t think of a more capable person to drive growth for the Bucks organization," Lasry said in a statement. "Peter’s been an invaluable advisor and will be a terrific leader for a talented group of people working to build a world-class franchise. He brings a tremendous amount of NBA expertise and management experience to Milwaukee."

The team's release also that at Deluxe, Feigin "managed global business units and handled branding across the international world."

New Bucks head coach Jason Kidd and the team met Feigin on Wednesday morning before the team flew up to Green Bay to take on Memphis in the team's preseason opener at the Resch Center.

"I thought Peter's great," Kidd said. "It was awesome. He's going to be good. He's great for the brand. We couldn't have any complaints. He's excited to have the opportunity to help us get where we want (to be)."

In his new role with the Bucks, Feigin will lead the team's reorganized business operations.

"I’m thrilled to join the Milwaukee Bucks organization during this incredibly exciting time for the team on and off the court," Feigin said in a statement. "From a new and modern arena in the heart of the city to a renewed emphasis on building deeper ties in the community, Wes, Marc and the entire team they’ve assembled are building something very special in Milwaukee. I’m going to work hard to ensure their collective vision is realized."

Before working at Deluxe, Feigin was president and COO of Marquis Jet Partners, but he does have previous NBA experience after working for the New York Knicks for six years.

The Bucks also named Kelly Kauffman as the club's new Vice President, Head of Human Resources/Human Capital Management. The Marquette alumnae was most recently the HR director for 1,400-employee, locally-headquartered Badger Meter.

"We’re very enthusiastic about the talented and experienced individuals we’ve assembled to lead the Bucks into this exciting new era," Edens said in a statement. "Peter is the perfect person to lead this team as he shares our vision for growth and long-term success of the organization, and Kelly is perfectly suited to develop and sustain a dynamic workplace that will rank among the best in the state. We can’t wait to work closely with Peter and our exceptional staff to turn the Bucks franchise into one of the best in the NBA."
