The closing of Brady Street Pharmacy, 1696 N. Astor St., opened the door for Glorioso Bros. Co. Italian Foods, 1018 E. Brady St., to consider expansion. The family-run Italian store purchased the space across the street with plans for escalating its Brady Street grocery and deli.

According to Felix Glorioso, the space is undergoing a complete renovation. The future Glorioso's will have an expanded deli and café, seating area, more groceries and an even larger selection of meats and cheeses.

Glorioso optimistically expects the new location to open in six to seven months, but that date is entirely dependent on the construction progress. A consulting firm has been hired to facilitate the renovation and Glorioso expects construction to begin soon.

Glorioso's current location will remain under the family's operation, potentially utilized for cooking classes.

Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee.com for details and an inside look when the new Glorioso's opens its doors.
