Last month, OnMilwaukee.com reported Milwaukee's Yomarie Tejada was a finalist in the Crest toothpaste "Smile Bright in the Spotlight" contest. Yesterday, she informed OnMilwaukee.com that she won the contest and will attend the People's Choice Awards on Jan. 8 in Los Angeles. The show airs on CBS at 8 p.m. CST.

More than 18,000 people entered the contest, and judges narrowed it down to three finalists before the public picked Tejada as the winner via online voting.

“I cannot thank you guys enough for voting for me,” says Tejada.
