MKE Sports & Entertainment owner Mike Zimmerman is partnering with Jake and Seth Dehne under a new name – 3 Beacons.

The Dehne brothers have a long track record in managing food and beverage locations in Downtown Milwaukee, which include Buckhead Saloon, 1044 N. Old World 3rd St., Upper 90 Sports Pub at 322 W. State St. and the now closed Suite Night Club, 1103 N. Old World 3rd St.

Milwaukee Sports & Entertainment owns The Rock Sports Complex, Milwaukee Wave Professional Soccer Team and other sports and entertainment entities throughout the Midwest.

The Dehne brother's three Downtown locations, along with Franklin's Umbrella Bar, DiMaggio’s Stone Fire Pizza and Tap Works, will all be operated under 3 Beacons.

The partnership will build out a food and beverage business that caters exclusively to baseball stadiums and other sports catering venues, beginning in spring 2015 in Rockford, Ill., and Kokomo Ind., at the stadiums of two professional baseball teams managed by MKE Sports & Entertainment.

"Partnering with Jake and Seth is nearly perfect for us," said Zimmerman. "They have a proven track record as operators and think contemporary about the space in terms of what customers want and how food and beverage integrates with entertainment venues. It’s a core piece of our business today and we estimate that it will be roughly 50 percent of our revenues in the future."

"We are not looking to build just a one-powerhouse brand," says Seth. "Instead we want to create a bunch of exciting micro venues where we can integrate food, beverage and entertainment as one. Suite Night Club didn't fit this core premise so we opted to shut it down. In this space, we are currently building a whole new venue."

The new concept for the former Suite has not been announced, but it will be created in partnership with Rinka Chung Architecture Inc., which has done work for The Moderne, Northwestern Mutual, Drexel Town Square, Pabst Professional Center and more.

"We are very excited about the new venue and will unveil plans in the very near future," says Seth.
